Over the past summer months, all of the Netherlands was able to enjoy Hollywood stars Bruce Willis and Halle Berry. Together they put up a perfect performance in the thrilling movie Perfect Stranger from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Some will be (pleasantly) surprised that a Dutch actress stars in the movie. None other than Daniëlla van Graas, Bruce Willis’ lesbian Personal Assistant in the movie, keeps a close eye on Berry’s actions...

To celebrate the release on DVD of Perfect Stranger on August 30th, Linden & Barbosa was asked to organise interviews with Daniëlla van Graas. The press was happy to oblige! Panorama, Metro, Vriendin and SBS Shownieuws were all more than willing to talk to the Dutch beauty. The Flemish press was equally enthusiastic and travelled to the offices of Linden & Barbosa to ask Daniëlla every question they could think of. As a result, Daniëlla will make an appearance on the TV show De Rode Loper and in the men’s magazine P-Magazine next month!

Linden & Barbosa has conducted and consulted on a big national TV KIJK survey for Televizier, aiming to position free publicity as an authority in television. The most remarkable results of the survey show that most Dutchmen watch TV while eating: as many as 70% are stuck to the screen with their plates on their laps. Saturday is the favourite day to watch TV for most Dutchmen (60%), while most actually watch TV on Friday and Sunday. Most of the Dutch (65%) spend one to three hours daily watching TV. The news and children’s programmes are most popular in the morning (48%), while entertainment (48%) is what attracts most people at night (97%). The full results of the TV KIJK survey will be published in Televizier issue 35, which hits shops this week. Shownieuws, Radio 538 and Metro also devoted attention to the survey.

Maxxium is calling upon Linden & Barbosa to introduce its new whisky: The Black Grouse, to the Dutch press. The agency will also organise the marketing & PR activities for The Famous Grouse and the beverages marketed by ‘Scotland’s number one whisky'. The latest Scotch blended malt with its full-bodied flavour, The Black Grouse, is intended for tough, strong men. Men who like to have a beer at the pub, but also like a good whisky. The Black Grouse will be launched in September with a fascinating study and a press event.

Accompanied by a mixed crowd of journalists representing various media, such as Spits, FHM, Bright, Veronica, Nieuwe Revu, De Telegraaf, and RTV Noord Holland, the team of Linden & Barbosa toured the Amsterdam canals in a launch on July 12th. The reason for this pleasant gathering was to thank the journalists for our good collaboration in the past year. On board the ship, the journalists were offered a poker workshop. Two experienced croupiers explained the ins-and-outs of this interesting card game. After a wonderful, informal night, most of the journalists went ashore as semi-professional poker players.
