The Linden & Barbosa team has welcomed Hester van den Berg van Saparoea and Bert Stuurop, who both joined the team on 1 July. Hester, who has been appointed as a consultant focusing on the entertainment and tourism accounts, has a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and has spent the past few years working in the marketing and PR department of L’Oréal Nederland.

Bert has been appointed board secretary. He has years of experience working as a board secretary and secretarial employee for organisations including the Municipality of Amsterdam.

Last weekend the fabulous English Will Smith look-alike ‘Wicked Will’ (Shad Ellis) did his thing at the Fame store in Amsterdam’s Kalverstraat. Shoppers in Kalverstraat seized the opportunity to have their photographs taken with the world’s best Will Smith look-alike. He also gave an excellent imitation lip-synching the song ‘Switch’ every hour. The event was organised to celebrate the release of the ‘Hitch’ DVD on Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. In the film Will Smith plays a professional date doctor who helps men who have lost all hope conquer their dream partner. Fragments from the de film and ‘Wicked Will’s’ performance in front of Fame featured on SBS Shownieuws last Saturday.

Diddl will start his tour of the Netherlands celebrating his birthday with fans on 18 September. Diddl, the tiny jumping mouse, is particularly popular with children aged between 6 and 12.
Big and small fans can get together for a whole afternoon to have their photo taken with the lively mouse, play games, sing Diddl songs and even enjoy Diddl birthday surprise souvenirs in 35 shopping centres across the country! Linden & Barbosa has been asked to generate press interest in Diddl’s birthday. Diddl’s rise to fame started with postcards. When these proved a hit, the product range was expanded with cuddly toys and school supplies.
